Sorry for the bad quality of the Canon 600D but it was already getting dark and I do not have a fix lens at the moment. Will get one soon :-). This represents basically the flight done after coming straight from the building bench. The Radian System has been setup just on the bench before that flight and you can see that the stabilization is pretty good. I have also tried to use the Tarot ZYX GS System but was not able to get really decent results out of it. Also it seemed to me that the gains were not stable (Temp Drift e.t.c.) The YMFC-AL is an auto-leveling Arduino Uno based quadcopter that is easy to build and fun to fly. Auto leveling means that, when you release the sticks the quadcopter levels itself. This makes it much easier to fly. The YMFC-AL is not a high level flight controller. WARNING! This video is long and pretty boring! It's just to document the maiden test flight and nothing too exciting beyond that! Maiden flight, tuning and testing of the new 1045mm HeliBatics Octocopter Prototype with 15" props. Total flight time about 30 minutes, discharged down to 3.7V per cell. There were 3 short landings where I brought it down to check a loose landing leg, otherwise a perfect flight! Filmed with a GoPro 3 Black at 1080/60P, on a Feiyu G3 2-axis brushless gimbal.
